MANYFIELD 2016

Concept Stage

Feel Festival

As diversity of perspectives and linkage to current social and global circumstances are crucial to us, we framed our stage concept for Feel Festival 2016 by asking: What is perceived as different or foreign and how strongly is perspective factored in? The space was filled with sand forming hills and valleys, culminating in a dune that was interrupted by the actual stage. The audience could take a look from different angles and put on a multitude of perspectives on artistic expressions on stage. We took the multiperspective approach also into account when placing two big showcases in the auditorium only to be watched when bending down to it.

Together and as fragments, we changed receptions and made points of view becoming liquefied — with a wide spectrum of formats and topics happening on our and the other stages on MANYFIELD.

In collaboration with Katharin Ahrend, we merged both architecture and festival program with our MANYFIELD stage. Besides creating our stage we took over the state and production management, with full artistic control.

MANYFIELD was a concept stage amongst 15 stages in total at Feel Festival 2016. We are happy to have hosted many inspiring artists such as Anklepants, DJ Marcelle, Stas, Signe Pierce, Ashraf Sharif Khan & Victor Marek, Pigmalião and many more whose work is centered around bending perspectives and views on foreignness.
