STAGEDESIGN & SET & EXHIBITION & EVENT & PUBLIC SPACE
In 2015, we had the idea to put a million images in one place. This idea was implemented in Flatterland, an installation consisting of a white piece of fabric with three meters width and seven meters length, three fans and a stroboscopic lamp. The piece of fabric, strained on one side, was installed in front of the fans so it would begin to flutter once they were switched on, creating numerous different surfaces.
Our installation "Flatterland" became both fabric fluidly moving and static picturesque landscape. This meandering state of an inbeetween of standstill and dynamics was controlled by passing revelers: Fluid reality is replaced by a million images.
During the night, the strobe light changed its frequency via a rotary controlled by visiting party people. They spontaneously cut the constant movements of the white fabric landscape into single image frames.
Flatterland was shown in 2015 at Feel Festival and Rocken am Brocken Festival and Artlake Festival.
