Bällebad

We attached around 4.000 black light-active pit balls to vertically mounted elastic strings. All in place in a cube with a size of three meters each to form a floating ball pit in which you could wander around. Illuminated with black light, the installation was glowing from within.

In Bällebad, our debut installation introducing JASCHA&FRANZ, a regular ball pit turned into a space to dive into — both sitting and standing. A floating and mesmerizing space of color. A jolly good place to stay and play.When illuminated with color changing light, some balls became invisible and the whole ball pit seemed to be moving, to lean itself back and forth and, when stridden, freely adapt its shape to whomever it accommodated.

During the summer of 2013, we installed Bällebad at two different outdoor music festivals: Feel Festival and Rocken am Brocken Festival.
