STORNO

To round out our investigation on the theme "Supermarkt" during the 2019th edition of Fuchsbau Festival we created STORNO. After Hyperkultur and Epicenter it was time to dive into the narratives of an actual supermarket. For the stage hosting performances, DJ*ane sets and concerts we designed a collage of scenes from our most beloved stores. Hanging banners with artistic still lives from supermarket products are connecting the individual needs with surplus and mass production; colorful stacks of goods and fragments of well known supermarket floors.

Inside the space one was confronted with numerous floating references that made STORNO into an adventurous and witty referential system to experience the festivals program. All accompanied by our STORNO staff serving only the best drinks — and some real fake supermarket flair.

STORNO was shown in 2019 at Fuchsbau Festival in Hannover. During the Festival we were accompanied by Lily Urbat of Prizesin Haralt who created magical visuals for the DJ*anes and Live Acts such as DJ Paypal, DJ Stingray, Bendik Giske, Golin, Annikalock and many more. Additionally STORNO hosted talks and performances by Munroe Bergdorf, Bunny Michael, Zander Porter and Feminist Meme School.
